A magnitude-6.2 quake struck northwest China's Gansu Province at midnight on Monday. At 8:46 a.m., two trapped people were rescued and transferred by rescue workers in the fourth community of Dahejia Village, Dahejia Town in Jishishan County, the area worst hit by the earthquake.
