United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, speaking in Beijing on Wednesday, noted that China's experience in poverty eradication and sustainable development offers valuable lessons for other developing countries.

Guterres was in the Chinese capital as a special guest at the three-day 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), held from September 4 to 6. The summit was the largest diplomatic event hosted by China in recent years and featured the highest attendance of foreign leaders.
